About Elim Park Foundation

Elim Park Legacy Foundation: Looking Forward/Giving Back

As Elim Park builds for the future, we have seen the need to develop a charitable foundation on which to build our philanthropic efforts. The Elim Park Foundation is a new component of our development efforts, offering some great opportunities for those who believe in our mission to support the current and future needs of Elim Park. The Foundation adheres to the guidelines of Elim Park and will work to provide funds for specific needs as identified by the Board of Directors and our donors.

What is the Elim Park Legacy Foundation? It is a perpetual non- profit corporation organized to serve the ministries of Elim Park, operated exclusively for charitable and religious purposes.

The Foundation was incorporated on June 4, 2009 and is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under Section 501(c) (3)

  • By benefiting, performing the functions of, carrying out the purposes of and upholding, promoting and furthering the welfare, programs and activities of Elim Park.

Biblically based Principles

Financial planning and giving are concepts which are biblically based. God gave us the command centuries ago, “to know well the condition of our resources”. This command is still applicable today. Not only does God call us to keep account of our wealth, but through the example of David and others, we are called to give to God’s work. David in First Chronicles 29:2 relates that, “so far as I was able, I have provided for the house of God”. David’s example offers us a unique challenge to give according to our ability.

Would you prayerfully consider giving to the Elim Park Legacy Foundation as a part of your stewardship? Working together we can be like the “man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation upon the rock and when the flood rose, the torrent burst against the house and could not shake it because it had been well built”.

Biblical Stewardship Principles: God calls us to do four things

  1. Plan our finances: Luke 14:28 “For which of you, desiring to build a tower does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it”
  2. Pay Attention to the condition of our accumulated resources: Proverbs 27: 23-24 “Know well the condition of your flocks, for riches do not last forever”
  3. Establish and maintain a savings program: Genesis 41:35 “And let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming and lay up grain and let them keep it.”
  4. Give freely as God prospers: I Chronicles 29:2 “So far as I was able, I have provided for the House of God”
