Employee Emergency Fund

Real support. Real impact. Kindness at work.

Ask anyone at Elim Park, and they’ll tell you the true heart of our community is our extraordinary team of dedicated staff. Across every service area, their unwavering commitment to excellence and care has earned them the cherished nickname of “Elim Park Angels.”

Today, many healthcare workers nationwide live paycheck to paycheck, and unexpected expenses can quickly lead to severe financial distress.

At Elim Park, employees can access emergency funding with dignity.

In 2010, the Executive Leadership Team at Elim Park Baptist Home established the Employee Emergency Fund to receive charitable contributions that would, in turn, allow them to respond to emergency needs among Elim Park staff in an expeditious manner.

This fund fosters a culture of caring, improving an employee’s overall emotional well-being by demonstrating that Elim Park employees are valued as people rather than just workers.

The Employee Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to Elim Park staff facing urgent, unexpected expenses—such as rent, medical bills, car repairs, or funeral costs—during personal crises or disasters.

This fund provides a safety net that helps employees get their lives back on track and reduces stress, allowing them to maintain their focus on resident and patient care responsibilities rather than worrying about personal financial issues.

A Distribution Committee composed of both management and residents reviews all applications for assistance. The privacy of all applicants is respected and protected at all times.

“I have never had an employer help me like this. I can’t thank you enough.”

“I’m so thankful to be part of an organization that stands beside you during such hard times.”

“We are so grateful for the quality care our mother receives every day at Elim Park Baptist Home. A gift to help the wonderful caregivers there during a personal setback is our way of saying thank you.
